The Packages have had enought time to get used to the new Queen, so we removed the Screen from the Front and set them loose!.
When I first opened it, you could not see the beige box. By the time I ran home and got the camera this was all that was left.
4/5/2008
The Bees have arrived!!! We made it through winter with one hive, though decided to supplment it with 2 more. We picked up the 2 packages of bees and installed them in their new home.
This is a 4 pound package, they say there is about 15,000-20,0000 bees in a 4 pound package.
Here we are removing the Queen from the package. She is in her own cage and has a cork holding her in. We replaces the cork with a part of a pollen patty, this will allow the bees to get used to her and then heat away the pollen and set her free.
Here is the package with the feeder can ready to come out and to put into the hive.
Off with the feeder can and lets show these bees their new home!
Make sure they have pleandy of food and give them a bit to adjust to their new home!
3/16/2008So we opened up the hive after the long winter and could not get the lid off.
Well after opening it we found out why... They needed some space to put Honey!
It was fill of comb and honey... Guess I need to fix that space there. Though the honey was really really good. The light and dark honey have very different tasts.
7/17/2007So after adding in another pressure tank, we had to take out a chunk of pipe.
Well that piece of PVC was only in there for a few months... Kind of sad there is that much build-up in the pipes.
So we set out to remodel the plumbing in the Pump House.
You can see the 2 new tanks, the distribution, booster pump and the PLC to control it all.
Now we need to figure out what type of Filters to add to the system. So far it is looking like a Calcite, Manganese greensand and Water Softener...
Woah is me... 6/27/2007Some have asked how I fell out of the tree and landed on my back, Well in my efforts to hop over a fence, I was hanging on a branch, then pulled my legs up and put them on the top of the fence post. As I was switching hands from branch to branch one of the branches (the one supporting all my weight) broke and I went plummeting down to the earth!
The most cool thing about the Experience was the CT Scans. Or the images on CD I got from them.
I Walked into Medical Imaging Records and said I want some pictures for my website and $10 later you get this really cool app to see your ‘guts’ Well it’s not too too exciting as it’s all in grey... But still pretty cool to see your innards and look at your innards in dimensions.
I would not recommend that you fall out of a tree to get the Scans or the Software, as thats a bit more than $10. Anyone is welcome to stop by to get the tour. (-; hehehe
6/24/2007Well they let her out of the cage and the Hive seems to be busy... So lets hope that we got rid of all of the laying nurse bees and that the new queen is doing her job.
We'll give it a look see in a week or so and see how things are going.. Transverse process fracture: This type of fracture results from rotation or extreme sideways (lateral) bending and usually does not affect stability.
Transverse process fractures are often rehabbed with a thoracolumbar corset along with a walking or aerobic type regimen.
--------------------
I dont think the person that wrote this has had theirs fractured. When you walk and some muscles move in such a way to tweek the transverse process portion of the vertebrae, it will drop you to the floor. I dont think I would call that stable... okay okay, Well maybe they mean the patient is stable enough to move with out a spine board.
So where does one get this thoracolumbar corset??? 6/23/2007Anonymous users can now add comments to Blog posts. All comments have to be approved before they are visible to everyone.

On the full size images you can see where the right side has a bit of Grey in it. Not being a Radiologist, I can’t be 100% sure, though I think these are the 2 fractures.
Here is the L3 Lumbar Verterbrae
Here is the L4 Lumbar Vertebrae
6/20/2007I recived this from my EandM Family today...
With a Card that Says:
Leave the trees to the Bees!
Feel Better Soon!
We Miss you, the EandM Hive...
